Spain begin their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with an international friendly against Serbia at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Friday night.

Following the cancellation of their Finalissima clash with Argentina, La Roja will be eager to return to winning ways against a Serbian side that failed to qualify for the World Cup.

Veljko Paunović’s side have been relatively solid on the road, losing just once in their last six away matches. However, defensive issues persist, with only two clean sheets in their last eight games. Their matches have also seen goals, with over 2.5 goals recorded in four of their last six fixtures.
